Answers to common questions about services, techniques, preparation, and expected outcomes.
Your first session includes intake, health history review, and movement assessment. Therapist customizes pressure and techniques, explains the plan, and checks comfort throughout. Sessions focus on relief and relaxation; expect post-session hydration and brief aftercare instructions.
Bring any relevant medical records and arrive hydrated. Wear comfortable clothing and avoid heavy meals beforehand. Your therapist will review conditions, contraindications, and goals to create an effective medical massage plan tailored to your needs.
Deep tissue targets tight muscles and can cause brief discomfort during treatment. You may feel soreness for 24–72 hours afterward; this is normal. Therapists adjust pressure to your tolerance and provide aftercare recommendations to minimize soreness and promote recovery.
Lymphatic drainage benefits clients with swelling, post-surgical edema, lymphedema, and fluid retention. It also supports detoxification and immune function. Ideal candidates include post-operative patients and those with chronic swelling, but we assess each client for appropriateness first.
Cupping uses suction to lift soft tissue, improving circulation and reducing muscle tension. Marks or mild bruising are common but generally harmless. Our therapists evaluate medical history and contraindications to ensure cupping is safe and appropriate for you.
Frequency depends on goals: acute pain often benefits from weekly sessions initially, while maintenance care may be biweekly or monthly. Your therapist recommends a schedule based on assessment, recovery progress, and lifestyle to achieve lasting results.
